County Durham Community Foundation (CDCF) is holding funding surgeries in Teesdale and Wear Valley in September as it has funding available for community groups in these areas.
CDCF manages a number of funds including two Northumbrian Water Funds and the 2D Legacy Fund both of which currently have funding available.
The 2D Legacy Fund which was established when the infrastructure organised closed, provides grants of around £500 for the ex-districts of Teesdale and Wear Valley for voluntary and community groups with an income of no more than £40,000 per annum. The funding will support:
- Volunteer expenses
- Training
- Development and innovation
- Core costs
If groups would like to talk to CDCF staff about the funding and the application process, they have arranged a drop-in funding session at:
- Dales Centre, Stanhope, Thursday, 3rd September
- St Mary’s Parish Hall, Barnard Castle on Monday, 7th September
- Four Clocks Centre, Bishop Auckland on Wednesday, 9th September
Both sessions are on a drop-in basis between 10 – 11.30 am
If you are unable to attend but are interested in applying for a grant please contact jackie@cdcf.org.uk
