A round up of grants with deadlines coming up in January relevant for groups and charities in County Durham, Darlington, Hartlepool and Stockton.

Through this Fund grants of up to £3,000 are available for community groups in County Durham who will be open this winter for people to access a welcoming and warm space. This could be something set up specifically to help people this winter or an existing service that your community group offers.
High Sheriff Awards
The High Sheriff Awards is for groups in County Durham, Darlington, Hartlepool and Stockton who are working with young people, particularly to:
- help young people affected by mental health issues and young offenders to help turn their lives around
- support young people to be upstanding citizens and deter them from criminal activities.
NHS Waiting Well
Deadline 26 January | Up to £5,000 | Apply here
Grants are available for charitable organisations in County Durham and Darlington who are receiving, or want to receive, referrals through the NHS Waiting Well Programmes. The funding aims to address issues facing patients who are waiting for surgery.
Grants without deadlines
Community Grants, up to £5,000 for local organisations who are sustaining health and wellbeing, and reducing inequalities. Find out more.
