The Stanley Community Fund is made up of a number of funds managed on behalf of donors by the Foundation. Grants of up to £5,000 are available to community and voluntary organisations to support a broad range of projects.

Fund geography

Priority for the Fund will be given to organisations operating within the area of benefit, i.e. within the boundaries of the Stanley Parish Wards, which are:

  • Annfield Plain
  • Catchgate
  • Craghead and South Stanley
  • Havannah
  • South Moor
  • Stanley Hall
  • Tanfield

Who can apply?

There are no limits to the size of organisation that can apply, however priority will go to those organisations that can prove that they can deliver significant impact locally. For this round, priority will be given to groups who have not previously received funding from the Stanley Community Fund. 

What type of funding can you apply for?

We will consider funding any activity with a clear community benefit that meets Stanley Fund grants criteria. Please read the guidelines for the Stanley Community Fund before applying. 

When to apply  

Applications must be submitted by 11pm on Sunday 1st October 2023
