The aim of the NHS Health Improvement Fund is to support general health and wellbeing projects that enhance the work of the NHS in County Durham and Darlington. It will consider funding work that is additional to that which would normally be expected to be provided from revenue-funded health and social care expenditure.
The fund aims to enable communities to flourish through improving health and wellbeing. Any activity that contributes to people in County Durham or Darlington starting well, living well or aging well will be considered by the panel.
