Michelle receives MBE from Prince Charles.

Please join us in congratulating our chief executive Michelle Cooper, who received her #MBE from Prince Charles at Windsor Castle yesterday.

Michelle was awarded the honour for her outstanding contribution to the community effort seen through the pandemic.

Anyone who knows Michelle knows that she is quick to brush off praise, so this was a brilliant way to force her to pause and accept her achievement!

We are so very proud of all she has achieved in service to the people of County Durham and Tees Valley

Michelle said: “MBE now collected and definitely an honour. But not just for me or the team at County Durham Community Foundation, but also every single supporter who has done so much for the foundation. Everyone who has given money and their time to the charity, and every charity who turns that kindness into such amazing work to help local people in their communities. Thank you.”
