We’re looking for a new person to join our team as a Marketing and Communications Officer.

This is a varied and pivotal role, working with our Chief Executive and our Marketing Strategist to deliver our marketing and communications strategy, which sets the Foundation on a growth path for the next three years.

Core responsibilities for this role are supporting with:

  • Relationship building and networking: connecting with key stakeholders to extract stories and communicate the impact of the Foundation.
  • Stakeholder communications: creating stakeholder communications, digital and print, to maintain and develop deeper relationships with core individuals.
  • Content creation: creating digital content such as video interviews and vox pops or writing articles, white papers or opinion pieces that support our overall strategic aims.
  • Social media management: creating and scheduling social media posts, managing the process of social media takeovers with stakeholders. 
  • External relations and public affairs: being on top of and responding to developments in public affairs, such as government policies, sector reports and thinktank whitepapers.
  • Marketing administration and reporting: the administration associated with updating marketing campaign database on Salesforce, running relevant reports, providing campaign data as and when required. 

Qualities

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate experience or transferable skills in the areas outlined above and who has:

  • Excellent grasp of the English language, grammar, spelling and writing for a variety of mediums and channels.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of interacting in-person and on the phone with a range of individuals.

  • Marketing & Communications Officer
  • 21 – 35 hours per week
  • £24,000 – £27,000 dependent on experience, pro-rata based on a 35-hour week
  • Permanent
  • 60% at Meadowfield, Durham and 40% home working
  • Varied benefit package including cashback healthcare, pension contributions, death in service, critical illness and nine-day fortnight working pattern as standard.
