Volunteers turning £1million in grants into magic

We have reached the £1million milestone in grants to groups.

Groups are helping communities get through Coronavirus by offering emergency support. Food parcels, suicide prevention support, help with mental health, prescription collections, incontinence products for end-of-life cancer patients and relief for key workers are some of their wonderful achievements.

It’s been a stressful, joyful, grief-striken time. But we wanted to say thank you to our supporters, our funders, the groups, our staff, and our volunteers, for making this happen. Every single one of you is priceless.

At the start of the pandemic we only knew we wanted to help as much as possible. Then we heard the National Emergencies Trust appeal was launched and they wanted us to help get the money out there.

We also know we live in a region with some of the best community groups in the world.

It’s not over yet, and there’s a lot further to go. But we still wanted to stop for a moment and say THANK YOU!
