This fund provides education and training grants to young people (under 25) who are or who have been in the care of, looked after or under a Supervision Order to the local authority in County Durham, Darlington, Hartlepool, Redcar & Cleveland, Middlesbrough, Stockton, Gateshead, South Tyneside or Sunderland for a minimum of six months

Who can apply?

Applications are invited from support, health, social workers or other professionals working in related fields supporting clients wishing to get into education, training or employment.

  • Study aids
  • Books
  • Training courses
  • Equipment for courses.

This Fund will not support driving lessons unless the young person has a guaranteed job offer for which they will need a licence such as a mechanic or if they are training in mechanics.

When to apply

The Fund is open to applications at any time and there are no deadlines.
