The Fund aims to provide grants to enable unemployed individuals living in County Durham and Darlington who require help for accredited training programmes.

This programme is made up of a number of funds managed on behalf of the donors by the Foundation. The Programme aims to provide grants to enable unemployed individuals living in County Durham and Darlington who require help to carry out accredited training programmes.

Who can apply?

Applications are invited from support/health/social workers or other professionals working in related fields supporting clients wishing to get into education, training or employment.

  • Study aids
  • Books
  • Training courses
  • Equipment for courses

This Programme will not support driving lessons (unless the individual has a guaranteed job offer for which they will need a licence such as a mechanic or if they are training in mechanics).

Please note that higher education (tertiary) student fees and bursaries are ineligible.

Grant Award Date:  can take up to 6 weeks from submission of application
