The Fund aims to provide grants of up to £150 to further the education (including social and physical training) of children between the ages of 11 and 19 attending Durham Federation Fyndoune Community College and Durham Community Business College.
What type of funding can you apply for?
Whilst attending school or college the following items will be considered: equipment,uniform, educational trips, research trips, books.
If studying music or other arts, the following items will be considered: materials, books, instruments, educational trips, research trips, exhibitions or performance costs.
A contribution towards the cost of a laptop for gifted ICT students if they are disadvantaged by having no access to ICT at home.
The applicant will be asked to provide the name of a referee, which can be a senior tutor at the school attended, social worker, college mentor or other professional who knows the situation of the applicant. County Durham Community Foundation (CDCF) may contact this referee to support CDCF’s validation and assessment of the application
What the fund will not consider:
Items
which are the responsibility of an employer or third party to provide
Any
item/activity where there is a statutory obligation to provide
Any individual
need where the need for funding is not well demonstrated
IT
equipment except in exceptional circumstances

The Fund is open to applications at any time and
there are no deadlines
