Supports organisations who work with pupils attending secondary schools / colleges around Darlington and aim to improve the education or well being of young people.

The Darlington Education Trust Fund supports charitable organisations who work with pupils attending secondary schools / colleges around Darlington.  The projects should improve the educational opportunities available to young people, or increase the support available during their time in education.

Who can apply?

In order to apply for funding your organisation must benefit pupils from one or more of the following eligible schools/colleges:

  • Carmel College
  • Darlington College
  • Darlington School of Maths and Science
  • Education Village
  • Hummersknott Academy
  • Hurworth School
  • Longfield Academy of Sport
  • Polam Hall School
  • Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College
  • St Aidan’s Church of England Academy

When to apply?

This fund is currently closed. 

What type of funding can you apply for?

We will consider funding any activity that provides additional educational benefit such as practical training, development of new skills, awareness raising or supporting wellbeing. There is no upper limit to grants, but it is expected the majority of awards will not exceed £5,000.
