The aim of the NHS Health Improvement Fund is to support general health and wellbeing projects that enhance the work of the NHS in County Durham and Darlington. It will consider funding work that is additional to that which would normally be expected to be provided from revenue-funded health and social care expenditure.
There are key health and wellbeing themes that the fund is looking to support. These can be found within the Health and Wellbeing Strategy for County Durham and/or Darlington and the grant guidelines. Any organisation applying to the Fund should demonstrate how their project and/or activities link with the Health and Wellbeing Strategy for County Durham or Darlington.
The organisation does not have to be a registered charity but must have solely charitable aims.
Applications will be independently assessed by CDCF and put forward to a community panel made-up of health professionals.
The decisions made by the panel will be final and all applicants will be notified of the outcome of their grant application no later than 31st August 2020.
Successful applicants will be required to submit monitoring forms to show how funding has been used to the benefit of communities and take part in any promotional and/or publicity material.
Please note that you if you received a grant in 2019 and wish to reapply, you will need to have submitted an end-of-grant report before you submit a new application to the Fund. Please contact us for details.
All enquiries and applications must be directed through CDCF.
