County Durham Community Foundation can work with your business to help you create both short-term and lasting charitable funds for the benefit of the local community, the wider North East or even further afield depending on your needs. Our expert team can offer comprehensive Corporate Social Responsibility advice, helping you create a charitable fund that complements and furthers your organisation’s aims and objectives. This is the perfect alternative to setting up your own charitable trust.

All funds with the Foundation are named and branded in order to promote your support of the community and we can work with you to create publicity opportunities as well! We can also provide opportunities to help involve your staff or board in your charitable activities through employee giving committees, site visits and payroll giving. Working with CDCF is also a great chance to network with some of the region’s other leading businesses and entrepreneurs. Click here to see who else we are working with.

What are your options?

Set up a named fund
You can choose whether your fund is spent over a set period of time (Revenue fund) or whether it is invested for the long-term, enabling you to make grants each year using part of the income from the investment, leaving the rest to allow your fund to grow (Endowment fund). Acorn Fund
This is a way of gradually building up a named Endowment Fund, without having to donate a lump sum up front. From just £65 per month, you can build a lasting fund to benefit the causes of your choice and you can even support projects while your fund is building. Developments
The Foundation currently works with a large number of developers including .property and wind farm developers and Landfill operators, to help them create community benefit funds in their areas of operation. Click here to read more about our work with Developers.

Exit Funds
If your business is relocating or closing down, why not consider setting up a named fund as a legacy to the region and the people who have worked for you?
