Revenue funds

Revenue funds are charitable named funds which can make grants straight away. This means that fund holders can see an immediate benefit from their donation, rather than waiting for income to be generated from their investment (as happens with an Endowment fund).

The minimum amount required to set up a named revenue fund is £5,000 per annum. The amount would normally be given as a one-off payment, or perhaps as a gift in your Will, or another form of donation such a transfer of shares.

Some partnership funds or government funds carry a different management fee. This is negotiated on a case-by-case basis, as some funds have a higher administrative burden on them so require a higher management fee.
