Area Action Partnerships

Area Action Partnerships (known as AAPs) were set up by Durham County Council and there are 14 AAPs across County Durham. Each is made up of an Area Forum and an Area Board to identify and tackle issues in local communities. They give local people and organisations a voice in how services are provided, and help to ensure that county, town and parish councils, voluntary organisations, as well as police, fire, and health services, meet the needs of local communities.

Durham County Council's website gives links to all the Area Action Partnerships in the region, as well as information about AAPs, and how to join your local AAP.
