Cornforth Partnership

Cornforth Partnership

The Cornforth Partnership is a registered charity that was set up to support the regeneration of the area through the provisions of services delivered at the heart of the community. Previously a part of Sedgefield Employability Consortium, the Partnership delivered an extremely successful mentoring support programme to help the most vulnerable in the community into work or to become work-ready.

The Partnership is looking to extend their range of services by developing a project that offers a programme of personal mentoring, bespoke training and informal learning to those with additional needs including local residents with mental health issues, learning difficulties, the long-term unemployed, the over fifties and those who suffer from long term health issues.

The training will be delivered through a combination of sessions and the mentoring will be tailored to the individual needs of the attendee. The Partnership aims to have 75 people enrolled in the programme, with the help of agencies such as Jobcentre Plus, the LADDER Centre and the Career Centre.

The overall programme will provide a wide range of available training and mentoring sessions, and the Partnership would like to provide a six week Confidence Building course and a CSCS course (Construction Skills Licence).

The Cornforth Partnership was awarded a grant of £1,000.00 from the Stanley Family Enterprise Endowment Fund, alongside funding from the Skills & Opportunities Revenue Fund and the Community Action Fund.
