Sported Grants

Sported Grants

County Durham Community Foundation (CDCF) is delighted to have teamed up with Sported, the UK’s leading sport legacy charity of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Sported is a FREE membership organisation which provides support to community and grassroots organisations that deliver Sport for Development.

Its Members are amazing groups and individuals who operate across any number of sports but what makes them different from traditional clubs is that they put on sport in an effort to bring about social change within their communities.

It supports these organisations by providing business resources and financial assistance, so that they can concentrate on doing what they do best - improving the lives of disadvantaged young people through sport.

Sported Members can apply for grants of between £500 and £2,000; in exceptional cases, grants of up to £4,000 will be considered. The partnership means that CDCF and Sported each contribute 50% towards the grant.

Having a Sported grant with a percentage of the funding coming from CDCF does not prevent you from applying to CDCF for funding from one of its many other grants programmes.
