Sherburn House Fund Community Grants Programme

The main focus of Sherburn House Charity’s function is to relieve need and hardship and distress in the North East of England.

The Sherburn House Community Grants Programme aims to support voluntary and community groups and organisations, including small local groups from ‘the ancient Diocese of Durham”, that is anywhere in the North East of England between the Rivers Tweed and Tees.

The Programme provides grants to £5,000 to support charities, voluntary-led organisations and projects that have an incredible impact in their community, enabling them to continue their work and make vital improvements to their service.

Who can apply?

  • Voluntary led organisations with charitable aims e.g. Sports clubs
  • Registered charities and charitable incorporated organisations (CIO)
  • Social enterprises
  • Community interest companies.

What type of funding can you apply for?

Priority will be given to applications for funding that fall within the following areas:

  • Debt Advice
  • Crisis Help
  • Health and Disabilities
  • Social Isolation
  • Problems of Long Term Unemployment
  • Community Need
